LY Corporation fulfills requests from overseas in accordance with frameworks for international investigation cooperation such as the Act on International Assistance in Investigation and Other Related Matters and mutual legal assistance treaties (MLAT) with specific countries. This includes instances where the Japanese police receive a request via the International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO) or Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives a request via an embassy.

Outline of responses

- There were 1,745 seizure requests, and 2 disclosures in response to investigation-related inquiries. A total of 34 emergency disclosures were made.
- By crime, property crimes accounted for 54.55% of all requests, with fraud being the most common. Public order and morals crimes accounted for another high percentage at 15.28%, followed by violent crimes at 9.04%.
- The number of requests is increasing due to the rise investment and romance scams using social media.

Outline of responses

- 441 disclosures were made in response to investigation-related inquiries. The overall disclosure rate was 45.83%. There were 190 seizure requests, and 6 emergency disclosures.
- By crime, property crimes accounted for 52.21% of all requests, with fraud and theft accounting for the majority. This was followed by crimes related to weapons and dangerous goods at 17.77% and intellectual property crimes at 8.41%.
